U2 was SNL's musical act. 2 things:
1. I Will Follow may be my favorite U2 song. It's almost a dirty little pleasure (like having a secret crush on Neil Diamond) because it's a cheesy little love song and so totally un-U2ish (unlike, for example, my probable second favorite, the socio-political anthem Pride in The Name of Love). But I realized, especially watching it being performed, that I Will Follow is all about The Edge and that guitar riff--there's nothing else like it in the world.

2. U2 does the 40+ rock star thing way better than the Stones ever did.
