My friend Rick is a radiologist. He just told me that while the "funny little white spots" are, in his opinion "compatible with the clinical suspicion of demyelinating disease," they are also compatible with signs of normal aging. That's what the "microvascular ischemic changes could also be considered" part of the report meant.

So, until/unless I hear otherwise, next time someone says "Oh, Cynthia you don't look your age!" I'm not going to whine about my aches and pains. I'm going to pull out a picture of my brain. (Hmm. I wonder if I can get those MRI things in wallet size?)
