I had barely cleared the threshold of Sirca Designs (my hair salon) before I was on the phone to my mother: "I look so cute, I'm not even going to let you see it because I don't think you're strong enough to take it!"

Love my dreadlocks-to-be. They are really just teeny-tiny twists right now, but they're going to be dreadlocks when they grow up. I have to stop shaking my head, I'm going to give myself whiplash.
